The White Stuff

1 a.m. nothing. No freezing temps, yet it was cold, the bullfrogs in the pond were singing like it was a nice Spring night.

6 hours later we awoke to this.

My hubby had to literally dig his car out to go to work this afternoon. I am glad I got some pics this morning and later when the sun was out, because he rutted and muddied up the yard but good. ARGH!!

I lost big chunks of both of my Magnolia trees and also my big Blue Cedar that shades our backyard (and more importantly, my bedroom) in the summer. I had tulips starting and hundreds of daffodils whose life was cut short. I also have lots of blooming trees and Forsythia bushes. I hope they made it. We lost a lot last year to a freak frost so we didn't get to see the full effect of what the realtor said "was the most beautiful yard in the county".

If it weren't for those things I could enjoy it more, now I worry about the mess I will have(as if we don't have enough around here). 2 steps forward 3 back it seems since we bought this place. Also have shingles to replace from the tornado a few weeks ago.

Home Sweet Home? Where art thou? LOL I am very appreciative of what we have, is it just too much to ask to enjoy it for a little while without having some kind of disaster? Pretty please? With snow sugar on top?

You got some beautiful pictures, Kay! I'm so sorry about the trees and flowers, though. :(
