A word from Mr. Smarty Pants

Keep in mind this child won't be 2 months old until September 4th and even then is WAY too young to be doing this, support or not.

Look at me!

And I only have a blanket around me to keep me from getting hurt!

I am doing this all by myself and my toes touch the floor! I think I am fixing to walk on down to the store and buy myself some M&M's and maybe pick up a few hot chicks in my cool new "ride".

I mean, why mess around with all this baby stuff when I can hold myself up and work at being mobile?

And my brother thought HE was something doing this at 3 months? Humph. I will be WALKING at 3 months at this rate! Wait and see, bwa ha ha ha ha...

*Nana is running away. And also? Mr. Smartypants? You can help rake leaves with big brother since you are so big now. HA HA HA

The calendar is wrong

So we have had some high temps of late. People that talk about them all the time (like me) really need to get a life because, Hello? Arkansas plus August plus no rain equals hell rivaling temps! It has always been this way and always has been but still, when you are living it, you have to talk about it right? Plus, I am a grandma now so it is written somewhere you have to talk about the weather and have umpteen pictures of the grands.

Which of course is coming up shortly.

Lately, we have been keeping the kids on Saturday as well as Thursday. We keep them overnight at our house which I am sure will be nicer when Rylan learns to sleep more than 10 minutes at a time! (seriously kid, newborn means SLEEP ALL THE TIME). But they are fun none the less, especially Ayden, who will be 2 in December. He is a walking plethoria of words lately and really coming into his own. He has such a sweet loving nature about him and in an instant can melt down. Just like his Daddy no less.

So this weekend Papa piled up some leaves for a photo shoot/video shoot (we are bad grandparents we have not been videotaping AT ALL). The pics turned out so so but believe you me I will have to write the dates on them because to look at them, it looks to be about October when in reality it was August 19th and 97 degrees at 9 a.m.

Oh and even though he has started doing it more than a week before we got the pic, I finally got it documented on film.

First grin. Funny how it changes their whole face and makes them less a newborn and more of a baby isn't it?

First day hopefully not last

So I have lost my password to my original blog for Ayden which, I guess is all well and good since now there are two. Ayden was born December 11th 2005 to my son and his wife, whom, at the time, were only 16 and 18. They lived with us until October 2006 and since then with short stints back and forth between us and her Mom's house, have been on their own.

Rylan Zarin was born on the 4th of July which makes him extra special in that we call him our Yankee Doodle Dandy.

I know he is going to hate this in a few years.

"The kids" a.k.a. my son and his wife, are attending college in Little Rock and my son, Cameron, works for a Computer business in the same field he is getting his degree in. His wife, Athina, is also taking the same major. They live in an apartment in our old hometown.

My husband, Perry, works 3rd shift for a major corporation in the same town the kid's live in, well, that we formerly lived in for 15 years as well, we just recently bought a home in the country that is a bit of a fixer upper that has not been fixed up at all as of yet.

Thursday's, we go to the kid's apartment in the afternoon and watch the kids while they attend night class. Perry goes onto work from there and I spend the night, then we are in "town" to pay bills on Friday mornings without him having to trek all the way out into the "country" to get me and back into the "city". Oh, and we also get to have a whole day and night with the kiddos which is always a big bonus!

So there is the background, many of you know this, some know bits and pieces and others are all in the dark so I thought I would open with some "history". ( I promise I will try to limit the usage of "" from now on).

Now onto the pictures. Ok, seriously, this is a NANA blog, you didn't REALLY think there WOULDN'T be pictures did you?
